PILLARS OF ISLAM
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said that Islam is based on five pillars:
1-The shahada, or testimony of faith, which is to say: La ilaha il-Allaah, and Muhammad Rasulullah. (Nobody has the right to be worshiped but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah).
2-Iqamat-us.Salat, ie perform the obligatory prayers and serene perfectly.
zakat, or obligatory solidarity contribution. When a Muslim has 85 grams of gold or its equivalent in cash, for a period of one year, must pay 2.5% of this accumulated wealth.
Bait: the pilgrimage to the House of Allah in Mecca. This pillar is done by the person who is able to do so.
Ramadan fasting during the month of Ramadan.
