Weathervanes Bird live. Naturalism

Now that we are in the breeding season the birds are going to look out on the privacy of their nests. Webcams, which are being installed increasingly in the context of education and outreach programs, we put it very easy. Spy from the comfort of home makes us lose, however, the thrill of the observation in nature, more subtle sounds, the bright colors, temperature and wind, the scents of the forest ... So let's look at the webcams but without losing sight of the field, as the true site of the naturalist, the observer of Nature is out there.

Then a first selection, this time of webcams BirdLife partner in the Netherlands (direct access to the webcam page of each species by clicking the picture):

Common Owl ( Athene noctua ): 3 cameras.

White Stork (Ciconia ciconia ) nest tree.

Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis ): host.

Eagle Owl (Bubo bubo ) and chickens roam around, so they are not always visible.

nuthatch (Sitta europaea ).

Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus ): two cameras.
