However, despite the great attraction of migratory birds, this celebration has little roots yet. For example, in Spain there are only three events recorded, while there are only seven for the set of all the countries of Latin America and Caribbean.
How can it be? With the sublime spectacle and the many joys that give us migratory birds! Maybe because this event has been held recently, only since 2006?
How about if we hand that gets the attention and deserve to be celebrated as birds?
A I can think of two things:
1) Encourage individuals, associations, companies and public and private institutions to organize for May 14-15 to celebrate World migratory bird, any of the following activities (in isolation or more in the form of program):
- Guided tours for bird watching.
- Talks, lectures and screenings on migratory birds or bird watching.
- birding courses on migratory birds and other species of birds.
- Educational activities with children and young people, workshops, observation of birds, nesting boxes, game Birds, etc.
- Installation of informational booths on migratory birds in crowded places or public roads.
2) With respect to what is in my hand (although it is optional, the main thing is the above), make it easy to organizers of any of these events so they can distribute promotional materials to participants . Already discussed and agreed with the publisher that publishes most of my publications, Tundra Publishing : to contribute to the World Day of Migratory Birds, waive the copyright and benefits of Nature Notebooks Tundra Birds that are requested by the organizers of any of these events so that the price of this material is reduced by 25% (from 10 copies) and with free shipping. Thus the normal price of 4.5 euros / unit for time is reduced to 3.38 euros per unit.
The notes on birds are:
1: Diurnal Raptors.
2: Raptor night.
No. 4. animal tracks (including poultry).
No. 6. Waterfowl.
